Electric Eel Shock Electric Eel Shock (EES) are a three-piece garage metal band, formed in Tokyo in the late 1990s. They first toured the United States in 1999 and have been touring the world ever since. They have a large following in Hong Kong following a legendary gig at the underground bar Amnesia in 2003. The threesome are exciting and idiosyncratic with a style all of their own. Gian plays with four drumsticks and often almost naked. At the last Hong Kong gig at Rockit Festival he was arrested and fined HK$100. Aki's original stage presence and charisma makes for a riveting performance, while the fat basslines from Kazuto thread the rock with a vibrant relentlessness that will leave you exhausted. Electric Eel Shock are a glorious celebration of Classic Rock, Punk and Metal. A true power trio from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family.
